We have created this blog so that you can send your best wishes to Sarah Gaisford .
Sarah is currently in the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital intensive care unit where she is recovering following her fall at Exeter on Thursday when she broke her back.
On Thursday night Sarah had an operation to take the pressure off her spinal cord. The dotors will now give the bruising time to heal and they will also see how well the nerve-endings put themselves back together.

Hi Sarah
We first met in the winner's enclosure at Stratford after you won the ladies' hunter chase at Stratford on Comedy Gayle (May 22, 1999) - happy days for you, and anyone who was on at 16-1.
Very sorry to hear you've been dealt such a blow, and I'll be joining the thousands who cross their fingers hoping you achieve a full recovery.
Best wishes
Carl Evans

Hi Sarah, I don't know if you will remember me but I will never forget you, and how kind and friendly you were when we met in the loos at the awards at Westlands in 2006. I was upset because my husband was paying some girls too much attention! With your encouragement I went and got him back.
I was horrified when I heard what a nasty accident you've had. Someone as lovely as you really does not deserve this.
We will all be thinking of you, and hoping you make a speedy recovery.
Lots of love and best wishes from Jeni & Alec Watts xxx
Hi Sarah,
if anyone can overcome this you will, you seem such a strong character, was at exeter on thurs and everyone was talking about your accident, seems just one of those real unlucky things, sometimes the nicest of people are dealt a bad hand! Hope 2008 will improve for you.

Hi Sarah,
I was really sorry to hear about your accident, it's a dreadful thing to happen.
Whenever your name is mentioned everyone says what a strong and determined person you are - so keep strong and keep fighting back!
Lucy Johnson has been doing a great job of keeping me up to date with your progress - and nothing will give me more pleasure than when the time to comes for me to be able to write a Talking Point saying you are out and about again.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery,
Tessa Jenkins

Hey mate, I get regular updates from Miranda on your progress and it sounds as though your getting about in your wheelchair now which is cool. I agree with one of the comments on here that your wheelchair should definately have some sort of flames painted on it!! I saw Lilian the other day, she came up to work with Onge, she looks really well. I must say its a tad boring at work without you!!! You'll know what I mean when I say 'muppets'!!. The horses are good, Paddys a pain, as is Leo, but Bubble will be back in action soon and Barneys flying! Freddy is fresh as a daisy and sends his love!! Rain is ruining play at the mo but it cant rain forever-can it??!!
I'll keep letting you know when I can pop up and see you and you can just let me know if its convenient.
Take care sweet, keep positive, I know you will - your tough! Loadsa love fat kay, simon and bump!(and slinky and truffle!) x
Hi Sarah - just a note to say you are in our thoughts daily. I hope your progress continues well. Is Jazzie OK and is there anything that we can do to help in any way? I remember all the good times with the horses and look forward to some great days out in the future. Let us know if and when you feel up to a visit. Lots of love Martin and Rachel xxxx
